• Any business can join, whether a sole trader, a partnership or a limited liability company, being carried on in Dartmouth or the surrounding district (Kingswear, Strete, Stoke Fleming, Blackawton, Dittisham and Halwell) may become a member of the Dartmouth Business Forum on payment of the annual subscription. The eligibility of any candidate shall be decided by the Committee.
• Each member may be represented by up to four nominees who shall be eligible to attend and speak at meetings, including the Annual General Meeting, and to serve on the Committee. However, only one representative of each member business shall be entitled to vote.
• Members no longer eligible for ordinary membership may be elected to honorary membership.
• The annual subscription shall be decided each year by the Committee. The Committee reserves the right to exclude membership when the annual membership is not paid by the 31st August. The membership fee is currently set at £36 p.a.

• The Forum gives the businesses of Dartmouth a bigger say in the future of the town.  Working together as one strong unit we can speak with one voice and we cannot be ignored.
• The Forum provides the opportunity to network and exchange views and opinions with other businesses through its website, the online forum at Love Dartmouth, through networking and regular business meetings. There is a wealth of knowledge and experience in the town which you can engage to help your own business.
• The Forum represents the businesses of Dartmouth and district as a legal entity that can apply to local authorities, Government departments and NGAs such as the Federation of Small Businesses, for inward investment funding for the town.
• The Forum Co-ordinates marketing and promotional initiatives amongst members, including running events and competitions to bring shoppers into the town, E.g.: the Christmas Lights Switch-On event and competitions  such as Spot the Odd Item and Name that Shop.
• The Forum provides members with free entry in the Business Forum website directory to promote your business, with links through to your own website. Provide us with a brief description of your business and what products or services you can provide. This will help to raise the profile of your business.
